Slip-over taxi for Petromac Thor jars — carries the jar assembly on wheels and lets it recock freely.
Description
Tool Taxi specifically designed for use with Petromac Thor Jars.
TTB-J 75 are slip-over tool taxis that lock securely on to 4-⅛” tool housings and allow the heavy jar assembly to be fully carried on wheels. The Taxi is free to rotate around the tool body to allow for self alignment.
Taxi wheels run on ball bearings in a sealed, pressure compensated lubricant bath, providing the lowest friction in class.
Applications
- Proven gravity logging up to 80° well deviation using a slip-over wheel design
- Facilitate Jar recocking
- Stick-slip and cable tension reduction
- Eliminate risk of tool differential sticking by offsetting tools from the borehole without the need for additional tool body standoffs
- Robust design with a very low maintenance requirement
